Sarah Palin is an American politician, commentator, author, and reality television personality. Born on February 11, 1964, in Sandpoint, Idaho, United States.
Why is Sarah Palin Famous
Sarah Palin was the first female governor of Alaska, and then came to national fame when she was selected as John McCain’s presidential campaign as his running mate.
The almost vice-president was only the second woman to have been selected as a running mate in the history of the United States.
Sarah Palin Brief History
Sarah Palin, once the governor of Alaska, made national and historical news when she was asked to be the running mate of Senator John McCain as he made a bid for the presidency.
That put her as the first Republican female vice presidential choice, and the second woman ever is chosen for that honor.
Her vocal, brash style spoke to many while alienating others. As a potential vice-president, and a woman no less, the media latched onto Sarah Palin, and we soon found ourselves following her every move.
This bright woman not only became the governor of Alaska in 2006, but she was the youngest person, and the first woman to do so.
After her shine in politics, her personal life came to the spotlight, and the picture it painted wasn’t all rosy. There was controversy associated with her children, her marriage, and eventually, she ended up parting ways from her husband in 2019.
Her latest spin was a far cry from her past work. She was outed as a one of the singers on the new, wildly popular shows, “The Masked Singer.” She was known as the bear.
Not quite who we expected, but then again Sean Spicer was just on Dancing with the Stars, so maybe it’s a second rung career for former politicians.
