Heidi Montag first became famous for her role on the pseudo-reality show “The Hills” which was a massive MTV hit.
It was her friendship with Lauren Conrad, and then her relationship with Lauren’s friend Spencer Pratt which led to fireworks on the show and blew her fame up even larger.

Heidi Montag went from a popular character on the reality show The Hills, to an over-the-top, attention seeker who went too far with plastic surgery, as she admits later. She’s married to Spencer Pratt. Her full name now is Heidi Blair Pratt.
The controversy that first blew up on The Hills, was when Heidi started dating Spencer Pratt, who was a co-star at the time. It caused a rift between her and the show’s biggest star Lauren Conrad.
There was an attempt at a music career, but that attempted sunk like a ship in a storm. Panned, and met with criticism, her musical career quickly ended. There was also a book called “How to Be Famous” written by the couple. Turns out, everything they touch doesn’t turn to gold.
From famous to infamous, Heidi decided to do a day of multiple plastic surgeries, 10 in one day which grossly altered her appearance. Her name, along with attention-seeking Spencer became associated with being nothing but superficial. Not a pretty tag, but sometimes people go too far.
After a few small appearances on shows, Heidi and Spencer were on a version of Celebrity Big Brother. There’s news that another rebooted version of The Hills is returning, and she’ll be a part of the show.
