Eva Longoria, also known as Eva Jacqueline Bastón, is an actress that started with daytime soap operas then rose to primetime fame.
She got her start on the Young and the Restless, then went on to play Gabriella on Desperate Housewives for eight years. After the series ended, she moved to film, though none of the movies were break-out hits. She ended back on television with a role on Devious Maids, which can be seen on the Lifetime network.
Growing up in Texas, this beauty won the title of Miss Corpus Christi at one point, but she’s not just a pretty face. She also has a Master’s degree in Chicano studies.
She takes her role as businesswoman seriously, as well, and opened a restaurant with a famed chef. Sadly, the company ended up in bankruptcy, but that didn’t slow her down. She’s also written a cooking book. She also ventured into clothing wear.
When it comes to her personal life, she founded a charity which helps developmentally disabled children called Eva’s Heroes. She has another foundation that helps with Latino education and poverty issues.
With two failed marriages, one to Tyler Christopher of General Hospital fame, and another to basketball player Tony Parker, Eva took a break from relationships.
Luckily, she’s found love once again. She married again and has a child with José Antonio “Pepe” Bastón Patiño, a Mexican businessman.
